Breakfast with the Hysterics

Well I am home from work again, BECAUSE ITS LIKE OUR 10TH FREAKING BLIZZARD OF THE WINTER! As chronicled on this blog time and time again, I am sick and tired of snow, maybe its time I move to Arizona or New Mexico. Then again maybe not. Boston sports this weekend was utterly sucktastic on all fronts. The Bruins blew what should have been a very winnable game against the Washington Capitals, when Timmy Thomas let a very easy shot slip by him in Overtime. I would comment more about the game, but as Raquel has mentioned numerous times "HZMLS YOU'RE A FUCKING RETARD, STOP TALKING ABOUT A SPORT YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT". Check.

The Celtics, my god the Celtics. First they barely beat the Indiana Pacers on Friday, a game when I asked SmartyBarrett who the star of the Pacers was his response was "Um, no one". Who was the hero of the game? STEPHON MUTHAPHUCKIN MARBURY. After Celtics fans greeted him with a standing ovation, Marbury proceeded to allow the Pacers back into the game, getting pwned by Brandon Rush, but he made up for it, hitting key baskets in the fourth quarter.

And the dagger that was the fatal blow this weekend had to be the Patriots. My god, a 2nd round pick for Matt Cassel and Mike Vrabel? Seriously? I am all about drinking the Belichick Kool-Aid but I am having a hard time swallowing this one. You are giving up your top trading chip and one of the few solid defensive players in the linebacking core for a lousy 2nd round draft pick. OMG ITS THE 34th PICK!!! Yeah let's look at previous years 34th picks: Devin Thomas (wretches), Paul Pozlusny (ok, I could live with that), D'Qwell Jackson (WHO?), Brodney Pool (yay a non starter!) and Chris Snee from Boston College. Nevermind. And to make matters worse, word on the street says there was another deal that could have easily have been done that would have sent Cassel to the Broncos, Cutler and his diabetus to the Bucs and the 13th pick and a 3 round pick to the Pats. WHAT THE FUCK??? The only positive here has to be the extra draft picks and salary cap flexibilty. Please please please say this means the Pats are going to resign Vince Wilfork, and maybe just maybe trade for a Julius Peppers. Oh they already made a move? THEY RESIGNED JAMES SANDERS?????? WHAT?????

Well my fiance is making me blueberry pancakes, maybe that will ease the pain...

Also, and I'm blocking it out too, but the Celtics did play yesterday. And it was a tall, cool glass of suck. Ray Allen sucked, they completely shit the bed down the stretch, but who was the goat of the game? STEPHON MUTHAPHUCKIN MARBURY.

D'Qwell Jackson (WHO?)

Oh, just some dude who lead the NFL in tackles last season with 154, beating out the likes of Patrick Willis, Jon Beason and London Fletcher.

It's also been 90 years since it snowed on March 2nd in Boston, so to say it's a little out of the ordinary is an understatement. If it was December or January, I'd agree and say we should deal with it.

FWIW, we've also received 22 inches higher than the yearly average. Time for some revisionist history, Al Gore.
