Breakfast with the Hysterics

Good mornin' fools. Hope you are all strapped in and ready for another action packed week at Mass Hysteria. It twas a pretty shitty weekend in Boston sports, but hey, you gotta take the good with the bad. The Boston Bruins lost to the Broadstreet Bullies yesterday 4-3. BC got their ass handed to them by Wake Forest. And the Celtics split their weekend matchups, beating on the hapless Knicks at the MSG, and following it with a loss to the Spurs yesterday. Don't know if you saw that game, it was the one being show before KOBE LEBRON KOBE LEBRON KOBE LEBRON KOBE LEBRON KOBE LEBRON KOBE LEBRON KOBE LEBRON KOBE LEBRON KOBE LEBRON KOBE LEBRON KOBE LEBRON KOBE LEBRON KOBE LEBRON KOBE LEBRON KOBE LEBRON KOBE LEBRON KOBE LEBRON KOBE LEBRON KOBE LEBRON KOBE LEBRON KOBE LEBRON KOBE LEBRON. It would have been nice if ABC and ESPN hyped that matchup up more than they did. (By the way who was the highest scorer of the game? Hint it wasn't Kobe or Lebron, and he played for Smarty's URI basketball team).

So anywho, yesterday I took a bit of a roadtrip to Foxborough to check out Patriot Place as a possibility for a Rehearsal Dinner place. If you haven't heard Patriot Place is this new shopping/dining area that Robert Kraft added on to Gilette to make the place a tourist trap all year long. You know, me and my family of fair weather Patriots fans could go out to dinner, check out the stadium and the new museum. Sounds like a great idea right? Well, in theory yes, but when you actually get to "Patriots Place" you realize that this place is hell. They have a bar/restaurant called "CBS Scene" which as my brother put it " had so much shit on the wall (like flat screens on the stairwells) that you could get so distracted you will fall down. The place was loud, filled with annoying memorabilia, and had pictures of Shannon Sharpe on more than one wall. The visitors to this place were all white trash, wearing Wes Welker jerseys long after the season is over for the Pats. The rest of Patriots Place included a Game Stop, an Old Navy, and a Red Robin, basically making this "tourist destination" into the North Shore Mall of Foxborough. We decided against visiting this place ever again.
