Mmmm, those gators look awesome. And I'm not talking about the above picture. Yes, GHABBY is on top of the world this morning as the Florida Tebows defeated the Oklahomos (zing!) last night 24-14. If you didn't really have a stake in this game like myself, you may have found it a bit boring. Certainly if you were expecting Tebow and Bradford to just go TD for TD up and down the field at will, you were disappointed. But I actually enjoyed the game, it was interested to see how the defenses matched up against these two powerful offenses. And Florida holding the Sooners to 14 points...wow. As a side note, if Percy Harvin wasn't 100% last night, him at full strength would have been quite scary indeed. He may have been the best NFL prospect in that game.
The Bruins also took care of business last night, posting a 6-4 win over the Senators with a strong 3rd period that broke the game open after a 3-3 tie. Savvy and David
Also, your Boston Red Sox signed two more oft-injured players yesterday, and announced the re-signing of Mark Kotsay this morning. Gotta love those incentive-laden contracts! More on the signings of Baldelli and Smoltz coming later today. We also have a segment for all you WEEI fans out there, and probably a few more surprises on this chilly Friday. No question for the masses today, just a video to enjoy. And yes, this was a real thing.
