You don't need to go home you just need to get out of here.

Some pretty interesting moves came out of Foxboro today, as the Pats continued to make cuts in preparation for their opening game next week against the Chiefs. Today, Lord Belichick let go of Chad Jackson and John Lynch. Jackson was nothing short of terrible this preseason, and it's a blessing that he was let go -- he was a huge disappointment, as he never really caught on to the Belichick offense. He missed routes, fell on plays, and dropped passes when he was wide open. Lynch was more of a surprise, as he, along with Rodney Harrison, was projected to anchor a very young group of DB's. It sounds like Lynch could be brought back at some point, as both he and Belichick made veiled comments about a possible . Hopefully Chad Jackson will sign with the Chargers and drop passes from Marmalard all season.

The Pats still need to make one more move: CUT MATT CASSEL

*Editors update: Patriots sign former Bengal Deltha O'Neal

Unfortunately, we can't cut Cassel, as the Pats have already cut Matt Gutierrez. Ummm Tom Brady injured what?

/kills self

I'm really bummed about Chad Jackson, actually. He's incredibly athletic, and it's a shame we weren't able to make that work within our offense. On the other hand, his getting cut does make those of us who drafted Jabar Gaffney look pretty smart...

What about those who drafted the chargers defense in the third round? Does this news make you look more or less retarded? [thrusts mic in face of FMRA]

I would avoid that tactic at all cost. Last weekend I suffered the wrath of questioning FMRA's drafting skills.

/not a wise move.
